This is a live MCP server. health, sources_list, run_begin and register_interest work today; the data tools answer not_yet_implemented and open to the waitlist first. Nothing here fabricates data.

Routing guidance

What an agent reads to decide whether fediverse is the right source, and what to reach for when it is not.

Answers: Technical and privacy-conscious discussion that deliberately avoids centralised platforms. Small, but disproportionately influential in developer and policy circles.
Query shape: A term or handle, optionally scoped to instances.
Cost: Free.
Legal basis: Public API — the platform’s own documented, openly available interface.
Latency: Moderate.
Prefer instead: `bluesky` for a similar audience with a searchable global index.
Cannot answer: Complete coverage. There is no global index; results depend on which instances are reachable.
Caveat: Search is per-instance and federation is partial, so absence proves nothing at all here.
