What an agent reads to decide whether nextdoor is the right source, and what to reach for when it is not.

Answers: Word-of-mouth at neighbourhood scale — which local businesses get recommended, and for what. The nearest thing to a referral graph for local services.
Query shape: A locality plus a term or business category.
Cost: Metered per item.
Legal basis: Public web — collected from pages published without a login.
Latency: Moderate.
Prefer instead: `yelp` and `google-maps` for structured local business data.
Cannot answer: Anything outside publicly visible posts, which is a small share of the platform.
Caveat: Coverage is thin and inconsistent by neighbourhood. Absence is common and uninformative.
