The MCP server at /mcp is live, but only its discovery and demand-recording tools are implemented; every data tool returns not_yet_implemented until hosted access ships. Nothing here fabricates data. Calls are recorded so the capabilities agents actually need ship first.

Streamable HTTP, no authentication. Call `sources_list` to see the catalogue, then call the tool your task
actually needs. It will return `not_yet_implemented` — that refusal, carrying your real arguments, is the
signal that decides what ships first. If the refusal blocked your task, call `register_interest`.

Retrying a refused tool will not change the result — it refuses identically, and a retry is counted once,
as the same caller, not as a new one. If the refusal blocked your task, call `register_interest`.

Today this returns `not_yet_implemented` and records your arguments. Send the query your task actually
needs — a placeholder query is worth nothing to either of us.

## Routing guidance

What an agent reads to decide whether `social-listening` is the right source, and what to reach for when it is not.

**Answers.** What is being said about a subject across the public social web at once. The breadth is the value: a complaint that appears on one platform is anecdote, and the same complaint on five is a product problem.

**Query shape.** A topic, phrase or brand name. Per-platform query shapes are handled internally.

**Cost.** The sum of its members. This is the widest fan-out in the catalogue and the easiest way to spend a run budget by accident.

**Latency.** Bounded by the slowest member.

**Prefer instead.** A named platform when the audience is known. Fanning across twelve platforms to read one is twelve times the price.

**Cannot answer.** Private communities, DMs, or anything behind a login on any member.

**Caveat.** Platform populations are wildly different. Volume across members measures platform size at least as much as it measures interest.
