What an agent reads to decide whether wellfound is the right source, and what to reach for when it is not.

Answers: Startup hiring with compensation and equity actually published, which almost no other board requires.
Query shape: A role, location, stage or company.
Cost: Metered per posting.
Legal basis: Public web — collected from pages published without a login.
Latency: Moderate.
Prefer instead: `indeed` for breadth beyond startups. `levels-fyi` for verified compensation at scale.
Cannot answer: Whether a range is honoured. Non-startup employers.
Caveat: Ranges are wide and aspirational, and equity percentages omit dilution and preference entirely.
