Every plan reaches every one of the 254 sources. Plans differ on how much you can spend and how fast, never on what you are allowed to touch.
What a credit buys
A credit is $0.001, and every source has its own price per row, per query or per call. You pay for what you asked for. Nothing is rounded up into a bundle you did not use.

Where a source has no per-row price, a call costs one credit. Every source page states its price, and cost_estimate returns the exact figure for the call you are about to make.
The rules that decide your bill
You are never charged for
- A call that returns nothing. An empty answer costs you nothing.
- A call the source fails to answer.
- A quote.
cost_estimateprices a search without making it, and costs nothing.
You are charged for
- Every call that returns data, at that source’s rate.
- A repeat call that we answer from cache, at the same rate.
- Calls with no per-row price, at one credit each.
- Credits reset each month. They do not roll over, and a year bought up front still arrives one month at a time.
- A call is refused before it overspends. Every call is priced first; if the worst case costs more than the credits left, it is declined rather than half-run.
- When the credits run out, tools stop and say so. Nothing is charged automatically and no bill arrives later.
- Yearly billing is 31% off and grants the same credits each month as the monthly plan.
