This is a live MCP server. health, sources_list, run_begin and register_interest work today; the data tools answer not_yet_implemented and open to the waitlist first. Nothing here fabricates data.

Routing guidance

What an agent reads to decide whether preprints is the right source, and what to reach for when it is not.

Answers: What a field is working on right now, months to years before peer review. In machine learning, this is where the field actually publishes.
Query shape: A phrase, author or category, by date.
Cost: Free.
Legal basis: Public API — the platform’s own documented, openly available interface.
Latency: Fast.
Prefer instead: `pubmed` for peer-reviewed biomedical work. `papers-with-code` for benchmark results.
Cannot answer: Peer-review status. A preprint has none by definition.
Caveat: Not reviewed. Preprints are frequently revised substantially or never published at all — cite the version and say it is a preprint.
