Cost: Free.
Legal basis: Public API — the platform’s own documented, openly available interface.
Latency: Fast.
Prefer instead: `opencorporates` for entities with no LEI, which is most small companies.
Cannot answer: Entities that never obtained an LEI. Percentage ownership below the reporting threshold.
Caveat: LEI registration is required only for financial-market participants, so coverage skews heavily to regulated entities.
