Routing guidance

What an agent reads to decide whether recalls is the right source, and what to reach for when it is not.

Answers: Which products were withdrawn and why. A supplier-risk and brand-safety check that takes one call and is almost never run.
Query shape: A brand, product or hazard category, by date.
Cost: Free.
Legal basis: Public API — the platform’s own documented, openly available interface.
Latency: Fast.
Prefer instead: `enforcement` for facility-level regulatory action.
Cannot answer: Voluntary withdrawals that were never reported to a regulator.
Caveat: Brand naming is inconsistent across systems. Search variants before concluding a brand is clean.
