This is a live MCP server. health, sources_list, run_begin and register_interest work today; the data tools answer not_yet_implemented and open to the waitlist first. Nothing here fabricates data.

Routing guidance

What an agent reads to decide whether yelp is the right source, and what to reach for when it is not.

Answers: What customers say about a physical location, and how one location compares with its neighbours. The primary consumer review surface for US local business.
Query shape: A business name and location, or a category plus a geography.
Cost: Metered per business; review depth is capped per call.
Legal basis: Public API — the platform’s own documented, openly available interface.
Latency: Fast.
Prefer instead: `google-maps` for wider international coverage and for place data rather than review text. `tripadvisor` for hospitality and travel.
Cannot answer: Full review history — only a bounded excerpt per business is available. Reviews the platform has filtered. Non-US coverage is thin.
Caveat: The platform suppresses reviews it distrusts, and suppressed reviews are not returned. The visible set is already curated.
