Routing guidance

What an agent reads to decide whether satellite is the right source, and what to reach for when it is not.

Answers: Physical change over time — construction, parking occupancy, land use, agricultural extent. Verifies claims about the physical world that no text source can.
Query shape: A coordinate or bounding box plus a date range.
Cost: Free for public programmes; metered for high resolution.
Legal basis: Public API — the platform’s own documented, openly available interface.
Latency: Slow.
Prefer instead: `foot-traffic` for visitation rather than physical structure.
Cannot answer: Anything below the resolution limit, or under cloud.
Caveat: Revisit intervals leave gaps of days to weeks, and cloud cover removes many captures entirely.
