This is a live MCP server. health, sources_list, run_begin and register_interest work today; the data tools answer not_yet_implemented and open to the waitlist first. Nothing here fabricates data.

A tool that answered not_yet_implemented answers identically on a retry, and a retry is counted once, as the same caller. Routing guidance

What an agent reads to decide whether maps-alt is the right source, and what to reach for when it is not.

Answers: A second opinion on a place. Where providers disagree on address, category or existence, the disagreement itself is the finding — usually a closure or a move.
Query shape: A place name or coordinate, per provider.
Cost: Metered per lookup.
Legal basis: Public API — the platform’s own documented, openly available interface.
Latency: Fast.
Prefer instead: `google-maps` as the primary. This is verification, not discovery.
Cannot answer: Reviews. Coverage varies sharply by provider and region.
Caveat: Category taxonomies differ per provider and do not map cleanly onto each other.
